HE is the warhorse prop who has punished the opposition and his body through 258 games of first grade rugby league.

Yet come Nathan Cayless’ final match on Saturday against New Zealand at Parramatta Stadium, the life-long Eel said he might just shed a few tears.

``I’m an emotional bloke, so I might,’’ he told the Advertiser.

They wouldn’t be the first he has shed recently, either.

``I shed a few tears after we lost to the Tigers,’’ the 32-year-old said. `That was the loss where we knew we wouldn’t make the finals.’‘

  • It'll be a shame to see him leave.
It would been the ultimate accolade for him to win a premiership to go with his WC win.

I really hope he stays on with the Eels in some capacity.
  • I'm glad I'm watching this game at home. I know I'll shed tears seeing him lead us out for the final time, through a Guard of Honour of our greatest champions - an elite club of which he is now part.
