Teamsheet: Webb and Reddy in

Official team announcement

PIRTEK Parramatta Eels forward Carl Webb will make his debut for the club against his former team the North Queensland Cowboys this Saturday night at Parramatta Stadium. He is one of four changes to the Eels side.

Webb, who turned 30 last week, made a successful comeback from a hamstring injury for Wentworthville last weekend and will add impact to the side in the absence of Fuifui Moimoi who has taken an early plea on his grade one careless high tackle charge and will miss one match. Webb will start the match from the bench.

Joel Reddy returns to the side in the centres after missing much of the pre-season after shoulder surgery and playing two games for Wentworthville. He replaced Chris Walker (hip injury).

The other changes in the squad are hooker Anthony Mitchell, who impressed in the last two rounds of 2010, coming in for the injured Casey McGuire (calf) and starting the match from the bench (Matt Keating is starting hooker), and Mitchell Allgood who returns from one week’s absence with injury. He replaces Billy Rogers on the bench with Shane Shackleton retaining his starting position in the front row.

  • i like what i see, couple of fresh players coming in to impress especially ANT! hope he blows MK away with a solid performance, hope reddy is %100 for us. all is good
  • Etu and Morgan are like oil and water, they just don't go together. I would have thought Reddy would be playing on the right with Etu. If anyone is going to exploit our defensive weakness on the right it would be JT.
  • Well  HAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAAHAHHAHA  IVE BEEN BLOGGING ALL WEEK ABOUT MY CHOICES,

ALLGOOD,MITCHELL ,WEBB,REDDY were all in it , Now we just need  Humble ,Poore,Murray  and ???? possibly BRUEST.

BUT THIS WEEKS TEAM WILL GO BETTER THAN LAST WEEKS  .

Now i hope to see fui fui and webb  join forces  after this weeks game against cowgirls .  THESE TWO  MUST BE STARTING EVERY WEEK . ADD POORE  as a starter and DAMN WE LOOK BETTER

  • OMFG! Why have we kept that same right-hand wing. Doesn't SK notice anything???? I like Etu but in all seriousness he is no genius. I saw him in an interview after the match on Friday and he actually thinks he had good game. He says that he felt comfortable out there, pfft he looked incredibly uncomfortable if you ask me and has been like that since round 1! Cowboys by 30
  • How many tackles do you need to miss to get axed! hate being negative but Etu just seems so lost in defence.Fingers crossed.
  • I'm excited!
  • These additions are all players, if we have them on our roster, that need to be given a chance to perform.  Having said that, I am always happier to see young guys get their chances.
  • Maybe Morgan is the problem.
  • Big week for positions 4,5,6,7, 9 & 14.
Right side backs, halves and hookers will be under close scrutiny.

Pray to Hindy we get Ceccin as the ref.
  • People are excited, but Webb's game time will most likely be 10-20 minutes.
