Official Eels Team Announcment:
Parramatta Eels to push for the eight in Newcastle
The Pirtek Parramatta Eels travel to Newcastle on Monday night to stake their claim for a place in the top eight.
Despite a win and then two points from the bye in the past two weeks, the Eels sit just outside the eight on point differences and need a win to get back in touch with the top teams.
Coach Daniel Anderson has named a full-strength side for the game and with five days between State of Origin and the match on Monday night, is hopeful Origin stars Jarryd Hayne and Nathan Hindmarsh will be fit for the match.
The Eels’ non-representative players should also be fresh after an extended lay-off with the bye.
“We’ve had a big break and now we’re ready to commence the second half of the season,” Anderson says.
“Considering it’s now halfway and we’re outside the top eight we need to start making a real push for it and I think it’s time to step up our performances.”

Is it because he is the natural replacement for any backline injury? I am not sure that is the case.
I would bring Inu in if there was any injury to a centre, but I don't think he is the best back up option at either wing or fullback.
I also don't agree that Inu is in such good form that he shouldn't have to play for Wenty if it is not intended that he is going to play first grade that week.
Being groomed as a bit of a utility player i would think.
i wonder if MK playing 5/8 indicates that Mitchell is in the driving seat for next years hooking role (or atleast over MK)
I noticed that Karl Filiga isn't in the Wenty team... is he injurred again or has he left Parra?
