One game only, same old story. 40 years of this rubbish. Every pre-season, big talk, everyone says this is our year. Sometimes we start okay, sometimes we get smashed like last night, 52-4 by Storm. Then the losses start, we lose all momentum, and…

Apart from Souths we are the only team not to have a bye yet. Plus we won both games that Manly had a bye so unless they win their games when we have our byes we will be four points in front of them.
Yes it's a big four weeks. Two byes and Dragons, Tigers.
If we can win those two games we could well be in the 8 four weeks from now.
You are right the next two games are vital. As good as last nights win is and will help boost confidence, under the microscope if we play like that against the Dragons and the Tigers, they will be very hard pressed to win, espescially with a completion rate of 66% and silly errors in our own half. The Storm had a number of chances to win the game in the last few minutes and if the Storm were full strength we would not have one. Our injury list is starting to mount and, Watmough, Takarangi. and Moieroa all have got injuiries that are affecting their performance especially Takarangi, we were lucky that the Storm did not target him more.
I think the Dragons game is the crunch game because if we can win that game against a serious top 8 team that will build on the confidence going into the Tigers match which is at ANZ where the tigers a very hard to beat as shown on Friday night when they gave it to the Rabbits and the beat us there earlier this year.
I know we are a mathematical chance of making the top 8 but we need to win 8 of our last 12 games to be certain of this so these next two games are vital any loss will make it very difficult to achieve that goal. It is just unfortunate that the last 3 games that we lost against the Warriors, Souths, and the Cowboys we could have been well into the top 8 which gives us hope that we are not far off just hope the injury list does not hamper us too much, this gives opportunity for some young blood to come in and hopefully step up, Cautiously opptomistic we can do it. Go the Eels
any body thinking we make the 8 WAKE UP with all the injuries we got now with peats out I don't think we win another game but I hope im wrong we wont beat the tigers or Dragons no way
I predicted a month ago we'd go through the Origin periods with more wins than any team; and really that should have been the case, I still think we've got a decent run of games for a few weeks left. We tend to play very well against the Dragons at home, Tigers at ANZ is winnable and then another bye. If we manage to jag those eight points we'll be sitting probably two points out the eight coming into the final third. For the record, I think we've got a tough run home but it would be nice going into that final third with a bit of confidence under our belt.
