TEAM LIST VS BRONCOS

The Parramatta Eels side to take on the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium on Thursday 24 May in Round 12 of the NRL Telstra Premiership has been named by Blue & Gold Head Coach Brad Arthur.

After suffering a 24-14 defeat to the New Zealand Warriors last week, Arthur has made a handful of changes to his side.

Corey Norman has been named at fullback with captain Clint Gutherson moving into the halves alongside Mitch Moses.

With Beau Scott ruled out after sustaining an ACL injury, Siosaia Vave returns to the side in the starting line up alongside Daniel Alvaro. Peni Terepo shifts to lock with Manu Ma’u and Tepai Moeroa in the back row.

Will Smith, Suaia Matagi, David Gower and Marata Niukore have been named on the bench alongside Ray Stone, Jaeman Salmon, Kane Evans and Josh Hoffman as reserves.

Kick off is at 7:50pm.

  • Surely this means if Norman doesnt perform this week Hayne slots into Fullback. And maybe Stone & Salmon are getting closer to debuting.

    • Maybe to see how guth goes at 5/8 so we sighn valentine Holmes for fullback.
  • Gutho has been slow coming back from injury. Think this is a good swap from arthur.

Gutho can be more effective as a 6 also linking up with takairangi without having to run 30 metres across the field to set up a play
  • Looking to the future - bye bye Corey
  • This might be Moses' chance to impose himself on the team. Gutho isn't a lead playmaker so Moses will be given the responsibility to run the side.

    • Agree Super

    • That is the message I am getting from this change.

    • Yep

  • I like this team.I guess this means that BA wants Moses to take control of the side.

I'm still not convinced. Hopefully Gutho can liven our halves up.
