Team List 2017

Surely it's time for team lists by now hahahaha i have based this team around what I have read as well as adding my own opinion as well if that is possible.1. Bevan French - easy pick as has been confirmed by Brad Arthur himself, I believe that we might see a lethal Gutho/French combo on this right edge, with the 2 swapping between positions to allow gutho to play a little bit in his favored position.2. Semi - I believe his court date will go fine and he will play in round 1 onwards. If not and the nrl suspends him or he goes walkabout in new Zealand at the nines (just don't know anymore with him) I would put Hoffo on the left and bring in either Auvua or Schulte on the right.3. M Jennings - probably the most underated defensive centre in the comp, will most definitly be there, I'm expecting a strong season from Michael.4. Taka - I believe Taka was one of our biggest losses when he was injured, I love watching him play and I believe our team is better with him on the field.5. Hoffman - he's been training on the right hand side all pre season and I think hes gonna love everyou minute outside Taka, brilliant ball runner lile Hoffo will go to another level in this eels squad.6. Gutho - I too am nervous about our new playmaker. But I have seen enough of him to give him a fair go in the 6 jersey, with Norman at 7 and swapping with French at first and second reciever we will see Gutho flourish into one of our best this coming season.7. Norman - I pray he can stay out of trouble. If he does we will give this comp a very good shake up. He is our most influential player in my opinion, I don't even think he knows how good he is. (or QLD for that matter how did they let him go)8. Matagi- I have seen plenty of Matagi play at the Panthers and by all reports at training he will be the battering ram we missed when Junior left. A very good player and I csnt believe panthers let him go so easily... very underrated.9. King - if he can stay on the field healthy he is my first choice 80min hooker at parra. Watched him play at the dragons and at the Cowboys (both in lower grades as well as reserve) he is too good for lower grades and is a first grader. Very creative and will take our decision making to another level, just give him a chance Brad.10. Mannah- He will always be one of the first picked as long as he is signed. Always puts in 100% and bleeds blue and gold.11. Mau- Really coming into his own Manu. Representing his country will only benefit him, his partnership with Norman will only grow.12. Tepai - it's now or never I say for Tep, has been in first grade 2 years now both in the 12/13 jersey I think he is ready for a huge year this year, his defence is unreal, just needs to work on looking after his body throughout a season.13. Scott - Captain Scott, what's not to like about Beau, he will have a great season and I really hope he is still teaching these young guys especially Tepai what it takes to be a forward in first grade.14. Edwards - one of my favorite eels players, once Scott retires I would like to see edwards into the starting lineup in the future but for now he is the perfect impact player, such a competitor. He will be there somew here in the 17.15. Pritchard- I watched a bit of him in Super League and he still has what it takes I believe in the nrl, just a competitor and also quite skillful. Will add plenty to this team both in defence and attack.16. Brown - Was one of the Rabbitohs best.... can't believe they let him go, good luck with the burgess brothers hahahahaha i think he will come off the bench to Scott's lock position, I think with his hard as nails defence and no fear running game he will help our forwards dominate the ruck.17. Peni- his recent drama a side I rate PenI for the 17 jersey over Vave, I would hate to lose Peni to another club because we picked Vave over him.. he yes still has to work on some things but I love the enthusiasm he has when he comes off the bench and runs the ball. Also hits hard in defence.

With Peni likely to be suspended I think Vave or Peni for 17 will be an easier choice

Allso would consider Tep given a go as impact edge forward from the bench. See if he can regain his mojo with shorter more intense stints. Brown 13 and Scott 12 (prefer Scott on the edge)

I'd have IDG replace Pritchard and Vave in for Terepo. Apart from that it's all good.

I like what your said but 1 think isalvaro should be in the side one or best defense players and one best in the nrl ldont mind taking 2 hit up in set to his a must

Good team Drew, only changes I would make is Tepai on the bench, Scott to 2nd row and Brown to lock and I would be surprised if Terepo will play and from reports it seems that Vave is injured so I would put Alvaro in the last bench spot.

Monto, nobody else has trained in that spot. Lock Gutho in. Unless you have insiders within the court system, I'd say Edwards is a certainty.

I'd say Gutho will def be 5/8. K Edwards is a certainty. Unless injured. Monto who'd replace Gutho?
