Tamou wants to return to sydney

NSW and Australian prop James Tamou could make a shock shift to Sydney next year in a move that would free up funds for North Queensland to retain star forward Jason Taumalolo.Taumou is contracted to the Cowboys until the end of next year but is keen to return to Sydney for family reasons. Along with fellow representative bookends Matt Scott and Ben Hannant, the 26-year-old forms arguably the best club front-row rotation in the game.However, he was short of his best form in recent seasons and suffered a neck injury that limited his effectiveness and clouded his future. Having undergone surgery he has a chance of being fit for the opening round clash against the Roosters in Townsville.Although he was born in New Zealand, Tamou spent his teens in Sydney, coming up through the grades at the Roosters. It is understood the Cowboys are prepared to grant him an early release and Sydney clubs have been sounded out about their potential interest.Hadn't seen this on here yet and remembered reading a blog about us trying to sign him or something, I'm not really fussed if he did or didn't sign with us.First blog also :)

  Hi Coco, from memory Tamou signed with Cowboys for 650K being the same as Matt Scott. If he wanted the same money would you still want Tamou?

Get rid of Lussick, he is like Hargreaves. A good aggressive player but gets too many penalties and is suspended too often. Give Lussick to dragons, they need more size and aggression in there pack. Then use the money to get Tamou, i really like Tamou as a player.

  Lussick couldnt tie JWH's boot laces, Darcy is the definition of a salary cap thief, he just offers basically nothing on the park, and for his price he has been way below par.

    Yes, I think Lussick is on too much for what he does. Also, I don't recall him even playing much last year - Or maybe he just didn't do anything memorable?

I can see Manly going all out to get him, RS will definitely have a go, I dont think Tamou fits BA's plan for us. If Dragons lose Merrin they will have the cash to have a dig.
