  Even at his best I never saw him as a week in week out centre option. He will play one good game then come up against a really quick opponent and be made to look silly. Fine in attack but a liability in defence. If you are going to keep him in the team at centre though, I agree he has to be partnered with Semi who is an excellent read of the game these days and a very good defender plus you will have Semi getting more quality ball.

  I like Taka, he is a good bloke & has done a good job for us but at the moment he is not good enough to be picked anywhere in the team.

  Semi does not have a great read on a game. Yes, he does shut down a lot of plays, but at the same time, he lets in a lot of try's when he over reads every play.

    I disagree I rate him as one of the best defensive wingers in the game. He and Jennings have been really sound defensively

  Taka is a left centre not a right centre the only reason why he went to the right centre because of jennings hes a left centre!

  I agree Grads, Takka and Semi were electric and so was Manu when they were all on the left together.

  In fact they were described as the most potent attacking trio in the NRL two seasons ago.

  Switch Jennings and Takka now!

  Jennings actually played right centre early in his NRL career because he had a great left foot step and great acceleration to get around the outside of his opponent with that left foot step and it will also enhance his ability to setup the winger.

  It's definitely time for taka to go to the bench. He is still a good player and would make a wonderful contribution as an edge forward.
  I don't have many criticisms of the coaching staff except they can be a little too loyal to players. When you have no one better to replace a struggling player with - that's understandable but we have some really good centres sitting there waiting for a chance.
