Takairangi joins Kiwis camp

Dyldam Parramatta Eels centre Brad Takairangi has joined the New Zealand Kiwis squad in camp ahead of their Friday night Test match against the Australian Kangaroos.

Takairangi was called into camp this week and trained with the Kiwis squad in Parramatta, before heading to Newcastle to prepare for the annual Anzac Test.

Takairangi's teammate Manu Ma'u is also part of the New Zealand squad and set to make his NZ representative debut on Friday night.

  • So happy for him. Congratulations Taka I think NZ will give Australia a run for their money. Is this his first 'cap'?
  • Well done Taka!

Man this NZ team are going to be hard to beat. Taka will find it hard to remove Benji from the 6 position though? LOL

  • Well done Taka he deserves it but every bloke that gets the test call up price goes up, theres a hell of a lot of our players worth going up, i can see us getting raided pretty hard in the next few years.

  • Taka has been one of our best this season and in 2014. 2015 wasn't his best but that was because of injury and playing a season on a busted leg. Well done Taka but as a Aussie I hope you don't go to well for the Kiwis.

"De Belin will do a lot of the clean up work, the 3rd man in for our defence. Hopgood is now not alone in that area. He will not be flashy but he will definately do his job."

"positives are Loiero is out. That is a big piece of their middle, he does a lot of clean up work in defence, tightens up the attack. No Katoa and they are umming and arring whether to play Ativalu Lasati or Joe Chan on right edge.
