Tahu's return spurs Inu to bigger things

TIMANA TAHU might not have yet put pen to paper to play for the Eels next year but he's played an indelible role in the club's charge towards a shock grand final victory, helping to get the best out of centre Krisnan Inu. Eels chief Paul Osborne said when he joined the club after the mid-season demise of long-term boss Denis Fitzgerald it was clear Inu's future was at a crossroads. ''It seemed to me as if the club wanted to let Krisnan go and he wanted to leave the club,'' said Osborne. ''When I spoke to Timana about his own playing future I mentioned where Krisnan was at and he was straight on the front foot, advising me to not let him go. ''He said, 'No, no, no, no I can help turn him around', and that I was to make sure he stayed at Parramatta because they worked well together. He told me he'd help Krisnan and that it'd be great for them to get back together. Once 'T' said that, any chance of him leaving the club was off the table.'' • tahu has put pen to paper thou?
  • How many years will Tahu sign for? Inu is our future, Tahu will surely only be with us for a year ot two. Great to hear that Inu is looking like he wants to stay an Eel.

There was a previous blog where the discussion centred around the change in culture that would ensure players stayed for less money because they were loyal to the club / coach. I reckon DA & Ozzy have done a great job of developing this culture so quickly.

Of course Jarryd Haynes influence, whether it be direct or indirect, should not be underestimated here. Don't forget these guys went to School together.
  • tahu i agree he plays great sometimes but he will spend 90% on sidelines with injuries
