Tahu forced to play with an injury

Parramatta centre tahu was forced to play with an ankle injury during the season. club doctors had told tahu not to play on with the injury. but anderson who is now sacked had forced the injured centre to play on. just heard this on 2ky talkin sports.

  • Might explain to an extent why Tahu wasn't playing the footy we expected from him, but seriously though, plenty of players play through niggling injuries.
Anderson is gone, so it doesn't really matter anymore.
Let's just focus on the player relationships the players will have with the incoming coach.
  • why would a coach risk doing further injury to his players, especially someone like tahu who needs to be managed. I would be surprised if this was the case, thats why you have physio staff etc to make those decisions they after all are the experts and not the coach.
  • probably because he was only on a 1 year deal and had no intention of re-signing him?
  • Unfortunately...the main concern when signing T in the 1st place ...was that he was extremely injure prone....if is the case & he was only signed for 2010...it will be interesting of SK's outlook on T's future at the club.....
  • tahu playing with a injury, plus mateo/kk/ inu signed with others clubs, no wonder the eels never made the final 8.
no one is worth playing even in a jnr match with serious injury.
anderson also did think the eels was a one man band, in the hayne plane.
no wonder he has gone as the eels coach.
but facts are guys, as supporters will never know the real reason andderson was sacked , theres more in this story rumour has it.
now we hope the new coach/ceo/ and board get on the same page, and get better results.
  • Tahu was shit all year bar maybe 5 games before origin, not worth it IMO
  • Thats exactly rite why did anderson risk him ferther injuring his ankle after club doctors advised tahu not 2 play.
  • i think he still has it and he will show that next season if he is resigned.

but to everyone saying players play injured all the time pull your heads in because thats only the case when they are given an ok from the trainers and physio. now in this case the physio has said not to play and da has over ruled it.
  • Im with you daniel. I also think he will fire next year.
  • No doubt he can still play but needs good quality early ball to show his skills and some Structured plays that put him into space and Get him one on one with his opposite
