Tackle technique

We miss over 40 tackles a week.
How has it been a problem for so long and BA not fixed it ? This is by far an away our biggest issue as a team and if we're paying the bloke who lives 7 minutes from training to coach us, it should've been fixed long ago. We're not carrying a team of rookies and slight halves missing 12 tackles each a week .. the missed tackles are across the whole squad which indicates something is going wrong with how defense is coached.

WTF is BA doing to fix it ? We missed way too many tackles last year (the GF trip masked it a little ) and are falling off way too many tackles again this year . We have a team of seasoned first graders. Our players don't hit and stick , they fall off way too many attempts and it's costing us badly. If BA has identified it and tried to fix it it's clear his message isn't getting through.

  • Our defence has been shit for years.

BA is clueless when it comes to fixing our defensive issues.

He either needs to bring in a specialist defence coach or just fuck off altogether.

  • Because the coach obviously has no idea except when it comes to contract extensions

  • Not numbering up and bad reads (which our players do also) is one thing .. but our players 1-17 fall off tackles left, right and centre.
Last week we obliterated the Knights and still missed 40+ tackles .
Canberra will give us plenty to handle because we can't defend against anyone but I suggest you all make other plans the following week and don't watch the game v Souths. We will get absolutely destroyed by them defending the way we do. Missed tackles and quick play the balls in the middle followed by quick spreads will pump us into oblivion.

    • Wighton is going to be running with Hudson young on his outside against JA. So boys how many points we thinking those two r going to get.

  • I don't know how someone stays in a job after making the same errors for 10 years. I suspect the board are worried about instability if they sack him.
