SWARM UPDATE

UPDATE: Ok, Tony has been truly working his magic. He's just had a meeting with the Stadium manager, has approval to bring the bongos in and the Swarm is going to get its own area each week.

Just a reminder, Tony will be at Sterlos from 3pm until about 5pm then it looks like we're going to get set up inside the stadium. If you are sitting in the North Terrace, please do come and hunt us out we won't be hard to find. If you have a drum or other such musical implement then bring it!

Just spoke to Tony and Channel Nine as just filmed in his Swarm t-shirt banging on his bongo outside of Peter Wynns!

And Wynney is going to put one of our Swarm song sheets into every customer bag

  • Hell yeh haha!
  • Thanks Tony flying the one eyed banner high and proud... This site should explode
in the next couple weeks of it catches on. Haha .-)
  • awesome work tony. keep up the great work.
  • This is the passion we need to win a comp!!!!!
  • tony and phil you guys are bloody legends and are making serious contributions to the club we love.
  • Saw both you guys down there on the fence in the Northern Terrace. Unfortunately the Dragons supporters were drowning you out but it's a good start!
  • I think your comment is really unhelpful.
How long have the Dragons fans been doing their thing? Of course they were going to be more vocal. Why don't you get involved and encourage others to do so rather than trying to bring down the few who had a go?
  • first of all..well played and great game...both sides will be in the mix round september.

The swarm sounds like a great initiative for your club seeing as almost everyone else is or has been doing this sort of thing for a while....dogs army, us, panthers "black hole" Tigers Fanatics, Chook Pen Raiders Army etc. I recon it adds to the atmosphere polus its about time the eels have a representation like the above.

Got a hold of your chants sheet and could see that you sorta need to work on a few more catchy ones.....couldnt really hear yas besides that fecking shithouse cassette thing,,,,time for parra to ditch that i recon.

heres a chant for yas... (tune of one tonne rodeo)

    feliti mateo oh feliti mateo
    feliiiiiti maaaateeeoooo he's feliti mateo..

We (Dragons Army) made plenty of noise tonight as most of us have been sitting together for a long time and know all our songs.....key is time as it will take time for everyone to learn new songs and get the hang of it, plus we dont have much organization everyone just rocks up with their banners and flags and songs are sung.

We and the dogs probably have one of the stronger travelling supports in the league and imo away games are more fun than home games. due to atmosphere being at a rivals homeground and sitting in a large group to be able to generate noise etc.

anyway well in. goodluck for the rest of the year.
