I have to have a say on these supporter packs we get with memberships...
Who put these things together... They have to be a damn joke....
I drove an hour today to pick mine up, what a dissapoitment. Not worth the petrol or the time.
A piddly little gay side pouch, some stickers, a keyring, a cap, some cheap cardboard coasters, ohh and can't forget the "made in china " lanyard...
What an insult to a member.. I have paid $315 for a membership, know i know i get admission into games, fantastic, can't wait (YEE HAA)... But really these supporter packs are not much chop..
Now i love the EELS, i have blue and gold blood (really i do), i even have a little eel??? (ding ding)
But i am a bit dissapointed at these packs, they must have been put together by some trainee on work experiance in the marketing dept....
There... Thats my say...
Ohh and Muttonchops or whatever your new name is, look forward to your cynical reply..
Go the eels... 2010 Premiers... trust me....

We have to remember that the whole system changed this year, with new products, membership categories etc.
I expect next years offerings to be of higher quality - as it will all need to be re-branded with the new logo etc etc
The bottom line is you pay for membership to financially support the club - and (in most packages) for the season ticket. There's been a glut of posts on this forum lately about supporters packs etc and how disappointed folks are that they either:
1. arrived late
2. weren't very good
Really, it's like complaining about poor value-for-money when buying showbags at the Easter Show! Did you really think the club were going to shower you with expensive trinkets because you paid $315?? Mate, if it costs on average $30 per ticket and there are 12 odd home games in the season, then you've got your money's worth!
I wasn't very impressed with the lanyard. At the Eels v Panthers trial I saw the Panthers version and it such better quality. Plus, ours has no little plastic thingy to stick the membership card in.
