Support play

We have a serious support play problem. How many times are forwards poking through or Corey Norman making a line break only to look up and see nobody in support.

  • Robbo with his speed should be there always. As a fullback that is your job and not backing up is pure laziness. He is not a playmaking fullback like Hayne and so shouldn't be waiting around to get involved in backline movements, we have Paulo for that.
  • This is what frustrates me about reece robinson. He should be pushing up with the forwards looking for offloads as well as supporting line breaks and attacking kicks. Would add so much to his game and to our attack.
  • Grease backed up radradra nicely for that try down the left. Hopefully more of that.
  • I though friday nights support was as best as I have seen all year, Robinson seemed to be popping up all over the place

  • It comes with confidence. Something we are down on at the moment. If we start strongly against the Cowboys watch the support play start to flow.

  • Hopefully Reece will continue to improve at fullback, with more support play part of that improvement. Note we had Hoppa back there and he's too slow to set off in support play. Sandow should be there too, but as we know, he's inconsistent!
  • Agreed. I was hoping Robinson could play a similar style as Brett Hodgson used to do with us and the Tigers. Not sure he has the smarts or anticipation though. That said, last week was a marked improvement.

"Sorry Poppa but you knock players a fair bit in the past and have played more FG than you have if using that argument but i hate that arguement.
I believe you have watched a movie and said it was rubbish, but you have never made a movie before so…"

Assistant coach to Craig Bellemy pretty much means piss boy to the head coach. It's a little too familiar. The Storm arrogance without Uncle Craig in charge. Gomer Ryles got out in spades
