A month or so ago, I mentioned that I wanted to help Wentworthville raise some money for Matthew Eisenhuth, who is one of the three Eels juniors selected to go on the Australian schoolboys tour along with Jacob Gagan and Trent Jennings.
Matthew's junior club Wentworthville is holding a golf day on Friday to raise money for him, in order to take some of the burden of the cost off his burden, and I've committed 1Eyed Eel to sponsoring a hole and I've finally worked out how to set-up Paypal to accept donations from the community. Great to see some of the Eels juniors already making big statements though! :)
I too know what it feels like to make it into a rep team (in my case volleyball for NSW) and not be able to attend due to financial hardship. In the end, every dollar counts, so I urge all of you Eels fans out there to donate and help out a local junior..
