"He's going to Eels. Dogs won't offer him anything, 3 reasons. 1 he's not a 7, dogs need a 7. 2 would make no sense with Mitch Woods being touted as their future 7, a real good young player. 3 the dogs haven't said anything or indicated in any way…"
"I would not say massive improvement. But lets say he kept Lane and Matto for 2026 and we finished like 12th i think the club have leeway. But he makes signings with the cash and we finish 12th? I think he is given 2027 but is on a massive hot seat."
"Well probably why we are getting the money earlier to spend. Thankfully the 2 clubs (PNG apparently could be post poned til 2029) are a hard sell."
"Fair enough Lb. You make some good points. I'm not fussed about signings atm if ryles is investing in the juniors then that's even better. All we really need is couple of decent edge players and a decent prop. I'm excited to see how matale goes…"

i doubt he will be a success over there either , even though the crusaders are the worst team in the ESL
We will be right....... you dont release the ones you want to keep.....
For all you people saying Hauraki is no loss.....he is a player with FG experience, just who better do you suggest we replace him with? There are no players really on offer atm!
And if you're going to suggest someone else will feel the void, you better think again...
Horo is untested in FG, wasn't playing well in Reserve Grade either in the back end of last year
And O'Hanlon is still young and raw and is 12 months away from FG at least
So to all of you giving Hauraki a hard time, just have a think about it from that perspective
In regards to our forward depth, Hauraki was without question our most experienced 'depth' player, but at some stage we were going to need to blood some new talent, now we just have to do it a little sooner. I have hopes that Tim Robinson will eventually develop into a solid first grader, hopefully he gets first shot now Hauraki is gone.
My only regret here is that he didn't go with the rest of them (Paulo, Latimore, Wright, Cordoba) and give us a chance to keep Kingston.
