I love parra more than the next guy but the morning after and I feel embarrassed to be an eels fan,not the fact that we lost but in the manner. Such a shame.
Even though we had a good start to the year there was always a little thing on the back of our minds that knew it was to good to be true, a competitive team that'll challenge for a top 8 spot.
Imo we need to wield the axe, taka, alvaro, tepia and salmon, we are a 58 short of a good team, and a try scoring centre short of a really great team. Clean swap Rhyse Martin for Tepia, and an enforcer if a front rower for Alvaro. And I've always liked Brad Arthur, seems like a champion bloke and a good guy, but unfortunately we dont need a champion bloke or good guy, we need a winner.
I hope Eels can learn from lastnights game when we play rabbitohs in a few weeks.

Dropping Taka, moving Salmon to the centres and giving French a go at 5/8 would be a start.
Salmon has no creativity whatsoever, has no running game. French possess both. Yeah he isn't the best tackler in the world but playing in the middle will mean he won't be taken into touch as he did when on the wing.
French can use his pace to run around the opposition forwards on our sweeping moves. He can play off the cuff with some kick and chase which he excels at. Give him a go and let him prove his case to be worthy of a contract renewel.
As for BA..FFS stop being matey with the players and start being a boss.
