From Buzz Briefs:
"One area Ricky Stuart will make among his first priorities when he comes to the Eels is improving Chris Sandow’s defence. Sandow is an undoubted match-winner in attack but his ‘D’ remains a massive concern. In the loss to the Titans last weekend, Sandow made seven tackles – and missed nine!"
It's good to hear that Stuart will look to sure up Sandow's defence. It's not his size that's the problem. It's his tackling style. He tries to shoulder charge anything that comes near him. If he just wrapped the guy up around his legs there would be no problem. There's plenty of small players who can tackle properly yet Sandow tries to smash a guy twice his size. There's a place and time for a good shoulder charge but Sandow has learn when and where to use it.
