Remember recently when Stuart claimed the reason for the Eels success was because of his clean-out & recruitment of certain players?
Well of the players Stuart selected to retain & recruit for the Eels not one is playing in the finals. Conversely I can think of at least 3, maybe even 4 players that were part of the clean-out that will be playing in the finals...Roberts, Maitua, O'Hanlon & maybe even Blair (if injuries occur).
Ah yes the wonder coach once again to suffer for foot-in-mouth!

didnt really rate any of em - Reni was i bit harsh i thought cause he was actually playing some good footy at Parra.

Whether you rate these players or not is irrelevant...its a case of he who laughs last laughs loudest...and I think Roberts, Maitua & O'Hanlon would be laughing louder than any of the current Eels squad.
As to whether we should have retained them need to do comparisons
Roberts v Norman...ok Roberts was woeful at Eels but has Norman been any better?
O'Hanlon v Allgood, Mossop, Lussick...surely he is better than one if not all 3.
Maitua v Sefo...any debate required?
