Stuart or Kearney to take over in 2011

The Parramatta Eels club have completed their coaching review and according to 1Eyed Eel sources the decision has been made to go into next season without Daniel Anderson.

Radio reports this morning have also confirmed that Anderson will not be at the club next year.

It is understood senior players have already been informed of the decision and that next week the club will decide between Stephen Kearney and Ricky Stuart for the role of 2011 head coach. While Stephen Kearney has been the front runner, it is believed that Ricky Stuart is a strong contender for the role and that decision is expected to be made next Tuesday as well.

1Eyed Eel understands the board decision went against Anderson 5 to 2.

  • Agree re Stuart but Fitzy ??????? NO BLOODY WAY
  • why limit it to 2 candidates? how bout jason taylor and others... everyone should be able to apply
  • Agree the current lot have to go but don't agree we should bring back the supreme under/non-achiever - FITZY !!!!!
  • There has to be a third option ........................................... please
    • Brett Kenny
  • And we'll have scintillating play by our halves as demonstrated by the Sharkies for how long ???????

p.s In defence of the Sharkies, their halves have played a lot better than ours in recent years but that isn't saying much.
  • Sounds suspiciously like a plan LOL

"I mean Newcastle want Young but have no cash, apparently they had no money even with letting KPP go. For us, makes no sense to get him now unless Brown goes early.
Ideally, i would just want to get him for 2026."
