Just read an article saying if Hayne's appeal fails theNRL is considering stripping Hayne's awards. Cant say I really agree with that. While what he is accused of doing is bad, and I in no way condone that type of action, it was after he had retired, and in my opinion should have no impact on what he did while still playing. If it was historic, and was found to have occured while he was playing, different story. But mistakes made years after playing should not impact playing records and awards.

Bear in mind this is a Danny Weidler story, so take it with a grain of salt, but according to his article they are concerned with Hayne being referred to as "ex NRL player Jarryd Hayne". I don't see how stripping Hayne of his awards is going to achieve that though. Are people going to suddenly say, " Jarryd Hayne, I know the name from somewhere, just can't place it" ?
Where does it end ?
Are they going to strip the Blues of the 2014 Origin series win that he was the best player therein ?
Are they going to strip the Eels & Titans of every game they won when he played the game ?
Are they going to wipe the minds of every little, and not so little, boy & girl whose imagination he ignited when he was making opposition players look silly ?
Is Channel 9 & Fox Sports no longer going to show the clip of him tip toeing down the touch line on his Origin debut ?
Are they gonna never show him stepping a dozen Dragons players in the 09 finals, or his chip and chase against the Tigers that same year, or him scoring two tries in the first 5 minutes against the Dogs in 2010 ?
Are we simply going to wipe all memories of Jarryd Lee Hayne from the games heritage, as if he never existed ?
When is this cancel culture madness going to end ?

Tell me Poppa, if JH assualted her without the sexual assault component, let’s say she removed consent, so he just punched the shit out of her, would you still be victim blaming? I suggest you read his comment from the last blog again. He mentioned the sexting and used that as a victim blaming exercise. What guys need to understand is regardless what a woman says, txts, suggests, offers, if she removes consent, that is it, guys stop and walk away, no buts, no if’s otherwise it is sexual assault.
At the moment our courts say he is guilty, they studied all the evidence, none of us have, I trust a jury of my fellow Australians.

There were no loopholes that lawyers , well paid or not , used by Pells defence to persuade the jury of his innocence. Pell was found guilty by a jury and Court of Appeal upheld ( confirmed the verdict ) . Church money did not result in him avoiding jail time up until the final appeal was heard in the High Court . My point was that his trial jury did him no favours if he was truly innocent , as a result Pell would be unlikely to. have had any faith in juries thereafter which is contrary to Bob believing
juries never get it wrong . Many legal aid funded appeals from unjust jury verdicts have resulted in a reversal of the jury trial decision. It's not a deep pocket syndrome to get access to legal representation for appeals in criminal charge matters that have merit .
That is complete BS Daz. The Church did not contribute 1 cent. The High Court decided SEVEN votes to NIL thats 7 to zip, 7 to nada that it was IMPOSSIBLE for the events to have occured.
