Three security guards chased Cooper before he was tackled and escorted from the field.

He was charged with wilful and obscene exposure and was also charged under the pitch invasion act.

A Southern Cross Austereo spokesman confirmed Cooper's ticket was provided by the NRL, and that an investigation into the incident was being launched.

Cooper's allegedly naked interference during the game amused Channel Nine commentators Ray Warren and Andrew Johns.

'And we got a streaker on the field. Where's those binoculars?' Johns asked.

'You don't want to look,' Warren responded.

Footy streaker sparks some VERY cheeky remarks from commentators

'Oh yes I do,' Johns said as he laughed.

'You don't need binoculars, I can assure you. Andrew, I tell you what, you'd have to have big magnification on them,' Warren joked.

Cooper reportedly took off his clothes and hid behind a television cameraman before sprinting out onto the field.

Streaking during a sporting event carries a maximum penalty of up to a year in prison and a $12,000 fine.

Cooper is due to appear in court in August.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted the NRL and Southern Cross Austereo for further comment.

In the closing minutes of the game Cooper allegedly jumped the barricade wearing only his shoes and started to streak onto the field before security were able to tackle him to the ground

  • I can understand why the blonde chick with the big tits did it in the CL final but not this twat. Stay off the ice, kids.

    • Yeah well said Parra fan,

Ice, booze and Brazilian wax jobs at the same time, can cause costly anti-social behaviour.

    • C'mon lads, everybody gets a good laugh out of a streaker, as long as the games not in the balance who doesnt like seeing somebody run naked at a big event?

Male or female its funny shit.

  • Highlight of the day to be honest.

    No harm done.

    • Harm can be done if you get a crazed fan like Monika Seles did. Fans have no business on the pitch. Hope he gets prison time to deter others.

      • That was the only interesting tennis game in history.

    • I must admit, my family and I got a laugh. We were at the game; it was one of the highlights besides the victory.

I did shake my head wondering what sort of person thinks anything other than utter embarrassment, a lifelong reputation, a massive fine, legal charges and most likely the loss of his job could come out such a stupid action.

No harm to those not waking up to hell he created for himself, it's going to be a rough, rough road ahead for this guy.
No amount of alcohol could ever bring me to the point where "streaking" would ever remotely cross my mind.

  • How big is the fine now for doing that

    • Maximum $12k fine and / or 12 Months jail it says above . Expensive day out for this fool .

  • I actually feel really sorry for this bloke. 20 years ago he probably doesn’t get into anywhere near the trouble he’s going to be in now. That’ll be the job and maybe the career for the bloke you’d imagine. Then there is the shame of being actually named by  every  news media outlet in NSW. Whatever so called ‘mates’ egged him on to do this are a bunch of low cunts I reckon.
