Storm set sights on Munster replacement as decision date looms.

Melbourne are looking at Dylan Brown to possibly replace Munster. Melbourne are just as bad as us low balling players with salaries, offering Munster merely 1 mil a year where i think 1.2, 1.3 is justified. Imagine what they will offer Brown?

    • Yeh true. We should keep no one, especially a player we've developed.

        • He went missing against Penrith (so did Luai) so therefore he goes missing in big games? He looked pretty good against Penrith and the Storm earlier in the year. Looked very strong playing for NZ. Has been a standout for the Eels all year. But yeh, just let him walk no problem. I'm sure we can find someone just as good pretty easily. Outstanding call.

          • Mutts we have JA so why not let Dylbags leave

          • Difference is , luai wasn't needed , Brown was. For all we know Cleary asserted his dominance with slotting that field goal and said to Luai " have a rest son , I got this "

          • Well apparently the Eels are not his main thoughts when he is talking contracts at the moment. Wish ha had said happy at the Eels, let's see what happens.

  • That can't be right.

No way would a club like the Storm chase Dylan Brown.

    Apparently he isn't very good.

    • Unlike us , Melbourne will put their current off contract players on notice by publicly chasing a replacement.  We just up their offers until they agree to terms ( obviously with the obligatory player clause inserted so players can commit without committing )

Melbourne want Munster , but they're not going to get caught with their pants down by waiting 12 months for him to committ either.

  • They will be one of many. One thing about Dylan, he says time and time again he dosnt care where he plays his footy.

One thinks hes favourite song could be a little ditty not about Jack and Diane  but ............ its all about the money the money the money, its all about the ..........

  • I'm sure the club are doing all they can to retain DB but wouldn't be surprised if he chased more dollars - I wouldn't put him in that 1 mil bracket just yet but the market will work that out

  • I don't think the storm are going to be the destination club anymore. They've lost 5 pretty good players for next year and there is no confirmation of the coach as Bellyache is only contracted for next year. The rebuild and fall down the ladder may finally happen 🤞
