Storm greeted by 10 fans at Melbourne Airport

It was reported on 2UE this afternoon that only a hardy 10 souls bothered to greet Storm players at Tullamarine this morning when Cam Smith carried the NRL trophy off the plane.By contrast, over 1,000 fans greeted our players at Parra Stadium this afternoon!For this fact alone they should be stripped of the premiership. Clearly, nobody gives a flying fuck about them and hence we can definitively say the experiment has failed!

    I think its sad to be honest.

    Just goes to show what an absolute farce the "Melbourne Storm" franchise is.

    It isn't fair that a city who does not care about the game have had the best team in the competition for 4 seasons and because no one gives a shit about them their premierships are not appreciated. Its very depressing as a Parra fan who craves to one day be able to appreciate one.

      Considering the salary cap exemptions they've been granted in the past and the pick of Qld talent, no wonder they've been so successful. Bear in mind, when the Swans won the AFL in 2005, they received a ticker tape parade through Sydney, and the Swans flag flew from the top of the Harbour Bridge.

      Melbourne are pathetic!

    We just cracked up reading that, but full credit to the storm they have done pretty well over the years, its just sad Melbourne are so one eyed AFL.

    Good onya NRL , Archer followed the instructions to give the game to the Storm to increased the popularity of Rugby League over there. LOL that will never ever happens. I have been to Melbourne a few times during the year, read the papers nothing on NRL or the Storm for that matter win or loose nobody gives a shit about NRL south of the border.
