Storm can kickstart another streak: Mortimer

Daniel Mortimer has claimed the Eels are "not far off" hitting their straps again.

Speaking to The Australian Mortimer noted that it was a victory against the Storm that started the Eels winning streak last year,

"It was the Storm game last year that started our winning streak. Fingers crossed that might happen again. A side like the Storm will really test us and let us know where we are," he told The Aus. "If we can get up, that will keep us in the eight."

"We're coming off two disappointing losses and we really have to bounce back. We're not far off it."

"It's kind of weird the most impactful players we have signed are the ones that go under the radar. Jack Williams Ado Dylan Walker. "
