In case you haven't noticed the team is in a bubble. All I keep hearing is constant bagging of the coaches decisions. Firstly understand there is no reserve grade so many players are not getting game time. Players like Rankin who some are saying should be selected is not available for selection. Some are available for selection but are not fit enough to play out a full game e.g. Cartwright and Will Smith. You have no idea what restrictions we have around salary cap e.g. if Will Penesini plays 2 games do we have to pay him more etc. The trainers know the fitness of the palyers. They know who is carrying niggling injuries. They know who is fit enough to play a full game and who is not.
In terms of Jakob Arthur you have 2 distinct player types. Naturally gifted in terms of agility etc and naturally gifted in terms of cardio vascular. Look at Clint Gutherson as the example of Cardio Vascular. Jakob is very similar. Players develop at differenet rates and at different times.
We talk about signing this player and signing that player but I would much prefer to support players that are eels through and through. It is great to see these young players get a go. It reminds me of a young Peter Sterling was thrown into a final before he was ready (whatever that is supposed to mean) who was never fast and could never throw a long pass and was terrible in defence, but look at the player he became. The eels stuck by Sterling in those early years and it is time we did the same again with our young palyers coming through. I do not want Parramatta to become the place that players come to for retirement. If you look at the improvement in reserves from beginning of the year until the end the players there was great improvement especially the young guys. I would have loved the reserve Panthers game to have gone ahead to see how we went against what was a good Panthers reserves.
Is it a risk yes after all some said Sterling cost us a Grand Final in his first year but the reward was worth the perseverence. Bring on the young guys.

no problem with questioning but make sure you have the facts to back it up. Also much said on the sight is slander rather than critique. So if you think the coach is not up to it then fine but who is available that is better?? Try commenting on how a person could improve their game. We lost to Penrith by 2. We lost to Canberra by 2. Both games where perhaps the best I have watched all year and we where in a spit of winning both. The coach has a contract for another year let's see what these young guys deveop into over the 12 month's. maybe we don't win the grand final this year but we have a great future

Sorry mate but you are talking to a chemical technician. They are performance enhancing and are banned in sport. It is very possible that this drug actually killed one of the players. Peptides just may have slightly less side effects than steroids.
Tell me speech what year was Sterlos first eels grand final, to put him and JA on the same page shows where your eels knowledge is at.
