Stop bagging Mannah

Long time reader, first time poster.

Look at the stats. Mannah didnt play over 40 mins yet he still was one of our top meter gainers.

Everyone all rags on him but i cant understand why. He's solid. off course he's not a Vaughn or a Woods but he runs hard and puts in.

I'll concede he probably shouldn't be a captain but if you remove that he's great value for money. H\s long service barely cost us. He's fitter and stronger than the so called great props.

Anyways, my point is that hes never gonna be a super prop but he does his job and does it well.

  • Agree Will. Well said.

  • Well said. Every team needs players like him. An older no nonsense player who just does his job, take the tough hit up and try get a quick play the ball. He is also solid in defence.
  • Agree - been one of our best and most consistant.
  • Tim isn't the problem. He plays very well as you say.
The fact that he is the best prop at our club is the problem.
  • Timmy had his best game of the season yesterday.
We need a young firebrand to start alongside him though.
Matagi isn't that player, Maybe Evans can be.

    • Mannah best game was round 1 against mably go back look it up if more follow him from that game we be in top 4

  • Leave Brittany alone!!
  • I would like to see a few more minutes from him. Elite props are churning out bigger minutes. He also needs to change the line of his runs. Too often he is hitting the ball up between the play the ball and the A defender. He leaves himself open to getting smashed by the markers and A defender. He needs to widen the arc of his run and run to the gaps, at the moment he is cannon fodder and it is a credit to him he makes the metres he does.
  • Timmy is taking virtually nothing off the cap, considering his long service - great value for money player.

I don't get all this Timmy bashing. It's also obviously not his call on how many minutes he plays.
