Sterlo rips into Eels coaching knowledge

This from today's Sunday Footy Show.
Sterlo is always subtle with his criticisms and never singles anyone out. But this is as direct a spray as you'll see from him. Time to go BA. Sterlo has had enough.

  • Why doesn't Sterlo put his money where his mouth is and offer his services to fix both attack and defense especially.  It's time for ba to bight the bullet put a few specialists our failing systems

    • Exactly Chief! We need Rankin

    • Because it's not Sterlo's job to fix the problems. He won four premierships for us. He doesn't owe us anything else. He's been a constant for us in the past. This is not his mess to clean up.

    • I think Sterlo has had 2 hip replacements due to his services to us and prob doesn't get around as well as he would like to. I would buy him a golf cart if it would help to get him into coaching.

    • You don't need Sterlo to put his money where his mouth is. Everyone can see the problem. Only one it seems can't.  I always back BA but this is crazy. Fergo and Blake need to be dropped.

      • bs, it's a defensive structural problem not a player problem,  put any player under that structure and they will fail.  Its BAs problem that hasn't been fixed for many years

        • Did we have the same issue with Niukore and D. Brown there when Blake was out injured?

I would say if it wasnt for RCG being supended on the weekend that Niukore may have been back in the centres against Souths but BA must have thought with RCG out he needed him more in the forwards.

I will hold my judgement and see what happens once Brown and RCG are back.

If Niukore moves back in the centres once D.Brown and RCG are back then i think the right side defenve will be a lot better and I bet everyone that was calling for D. Brown to dropped will appreciate his defence.

          • Agree, when Niukore was in the centres and Blake was out the problem was far less evident.

    • Don't know whether club will allow that...there is some definitely wrong with the club...

      • Something on the nose you reckon

"yeah thanks guys, I was surprised, i just don't see him ball playing like a walker, Hopgood, DeBellin, etc. That surprised me. Mind you none are as good as Walker at it, from lock."

"I agree but from my understanding he has only trained at fullback for the past 2 years so not sure if the club are considering to explore his utlity value."
