  • Sterlo continues to question our one out strategy and "collision" in attack. Also that we don't play smart in attack. Always good to hear Sterlo. He is completely right.

    • And yet he has an open invitation to the dressing rooms, does he share his concerns with BA ?

      • So this is Sterlo's fault. Not like every Tom, Dick and Harry have shared the same concerns. It is up to BA to make the change in gameplan. Everyone can give their advice, but if BA doesn't change his plan, the players will play the same and be out of the finals very quickly.

        • Of course not, but I have an issue with him being allowed in the change rooms essentially because of who he is, and then throwing the team and by extension BA under the bus in his various media roles.
I'll never question Sterlo's passion for the Eels, but he's made his bed as a media guy, he shouldn't he then be part of the inner sanctum on game day.

      • I assume BA can read and listen to mmm, I'm sure he is aware of Sterlo's view.

        • Well he sure is now.

      • Would BA listen to Sterlo and his advice? Probably not. I'm sure Brad Arthur would be aware of Sterling thoughts and opinions unless he lives under a rock.

  • Quick summary

Sterlo says we play too much predictable one out footy

Sterlo says Moses is guilty of being part of this and he's been critical of Moses's lack of creativity

Sterlo says we missed Moses's kicking

Sterlo doesn't say we missed much else about Moses

Sterlo says JA is a fantastic young player

Sterlo doesn't say anything else about JA

Sterlo says he'd have Will Smith in the squad somewhere as Will " plays more footy " .

    Sterlo says he's never Coached

As usual Sterlo sits on the fence

    • He said he'd go with Will Smith. He definitely meant instead of JA. Exactly what I would do too. Well everyone would except Brett.

      • "I think JA is an outstanding young player ,  I'd still have Will Smith in the team because he does play more footy "

That may translate to instead of , or it may translate to having him in the team as an option . Either way what's clear is Sterlo doesn't think Moses is that bloody great and crabs from side to side when we are in their danger zone which is what I've been saying .

Sterlo could quite easily have said we missed Moses greatly , but he didn't .

"People will still complain because they will have more away games against better teams compared to other teams or different turn around times.
I think a shorter season and stand alone rep period is the best option and over due though."
