PARRAMATTA legend Peter Sterling has labelled Kieran Foran’s prized signature as the most “important signing” in the club’s history and believes there is no plan B should Foran decide to walk away from his lucrative deal.
The Eels have a fight on their hands with the five-eighth left feeling disrespected as the club attempts to change the details of his deal.
With Foran essentially becoming a free-agent, the race is on for his services next season with the Eels facing an uphill battle.
“Kieran Foran is a player you build a club around,” Sterling told foxsports.com.au.
“The reason I was so excited when we signed him because Parramatta needed a player to build a club around with Jarryd Hayne now gone but a different player to Hayne.
“He’s someone who plays in the halves, somebody who is extremely influential in all areas of the game both on and off the field.
“He is a leader. He’s a Test captain at a young age. I’ve had him as the best young player in the game for many years.
“He is the most important signing that our club has made in living history.”
“For it now to be in jeopardy as a Parramatta fan and former player it’s disappointing because I don’t see a plan B.”
Sterling has described the attempt to salvage Foran’s deal as “pivotal” and will address the big questions facing the club when Parramatta chairman Steve Sharp joins Sterlo on the couch at 7.30pm on Fox Sports 1HD tonight
“He’ll tell us where the Foran situation is,” Sterling said.
“He’ll also tell us if there is such a thing as a ‘plan B’ and how they are dealing with this situation.
“It’s a pivotal time in the clubs history … we have to nail it now and we wait with baited breath to see if it’ll happen.”
Was just thinking the same thing Bert. Sterling and Hindy cop shit on a weekly basis for being Parra legends. Hopefully, the club gets some respite on Petes show. I'm not saying criticism isn't warranted but our club is being anally probed with a telegraph pole. Did our players engage in sexual abuse? Did the board systematically cheat? No, but you would think our club has set up an opposing competition which cut through the very fabric of our game by the tone and diatribe in recent so called journalistic pieces, especially The khunts at News Limited.
It amazes me that if certain factions in the club were to look beyond themselves, they could have one of the great legends and great minds of the game at their disposal.
Yeah Sterlo, such a legend. Has never wanted anything to do with the club since he retired. Why doesn't he run for the fucking board if he thinks it's so easy?
"We were given no space, they were given space and time with the ball. We tried to slow them down and the ref got pedantic (a nice way of putting it without blue and gold goggles on). In thise circumstances we had zero chance and it showed.

"We had the chance to pick up Vaalapu and Pahulu in the Storm shot with Lomax and dish off Matterson... they are 2 hard ass YOUNG nrl experienced forwards, bet Eels Mngt are wishing they had now! Hopgood & de Belin would be in Reggie's

"I thought Ryles made some really poor selections too. Moving Russell from centre was poor. He's been a good defensive link at centre and played both trials alongside Pezet there. Samrani should of been on the wing, his carries alone are worth…"

'Plan B' thank god somebodies been reading my blogs.
Because we are either too blind to spot and retain the talent or bend over to rival clubs who can.
LOL.....
