Sterlo likes to use his Parramatta history to keep himself earning a quid . He's earnt the right , but is just another talking media head . He's played it smart , offers opinions but stays away so his legacy can't be comprimised .
He'll never coach. He's never had the desire to. He has a good gig in the media, lives on the central coast and gets to spend as much time as he wants with his family.
Why would he take a job which requires way more hours, opens himself up to much more stress, criticism and being away from his home for probably less money than he's earning now?
If BA wanted Sterlo's advice he could pick up the phone and I'm sure Sterlo would be more than willing to offer it up.
He has stated many times that he is prepared to help with the club and players, but he is commited to his TV career and that's his primary job, help and advise yes! coach or other involvement no.
"So, the respective Chairmen, Messrs Beach and Tripp, are meeting to discuss a possible solution to avoid going to court. Glad it is Beach and not the previous chairman, McDuff."

Because he's not interested in the job.
I'm sure offers have been made over the years but why would he leave his job for the pressure cooker of coaching?
