Stefano Utoikamanu

Listening on the radio on the way home from a weekend away in Wollongong to the Canterbury Cup Grand Final between Wenty & Newton and apparently Freddy Fittler has huge wraps on Eels teenage talent Stefano Utoikamanu

Reckons Utoikamanu is the premier prop for his age group, also claims he is better then Payne Haas and will be a future Origin player, just injuries over the past 12-18 months have halted his development.

Thoughts? Interesting if true, hope he stays injury free and gets a lot of NRL games next year.

  • He's a very talented young player. I think he'll be in our 17 next season. I think we're one marquee forward short of potentially the best forward pack in the comp. Then we'll have aome of our juniors under strong leadership. I think for a back up 9, we bring someone up from Wenty. We're not far off a premiership team

  • I feel very confident in our prop rotation. Utoikamanu and kaufusi will put alot of pressure on paulo, rcg and Evans. I personally hope Alvaro is after these two promising youngsters.

I know we are chasing a major 2nd rower and even if we get him id like us to try and sign Sorenson from sharks. Davey and Stone might not be enough.

  • Kaufusi is looking amazing

  • We seem to have an abundance of middle forwards

Stefano, Oregan, Ray and not to mention RCG coming etc.

Surely Nuikore will. Move back to an edge.

On another note could Davey be in the fight to replace Manu on the edge next year?

    • Davey was Wenty's best player this season. Not sure he has the x-factor but from the likes of it he is a very good line runner and more than solid defender.

  • Wenty playing really good but salmon is letting them down.  Up by 2 should be more lol great game

  • Our young halfback Davies is looking  the goods

  • By what I watched today he has a long way to go before a NRL birth is upon him.

A lot of hype which I didn’t see today.

  • I thought he was good. Stats weren’t great. 42 minutes 72 metres. Stone off the bench 22 minutes 82 metres. Kaufusi 28 minutes 100 metres.

  • shout out to all the people who had Ethan Parryas a lock for the team next season before they saw him play. He's a long way off.
