These stats paint the picture:
SHARKS EELS
1688 Run Metres | 1196 Run Metres (492 less run metres) |
9 Line Breaks | 2 Line Breaks (7 less) |
263 Tackles | 354 Tackles (91 more tackles) |
We tried very hard tonight but to make 91 more tackles; make 492 less run metres; lose the penalty count; have some bad misses by the refs; have the bombed try by Gutherson; Semi catching a cold in the first half; very poor completion rate in the second half; and a bad missed tackle by Gordon in the final minutes, we did pretty dam good against a red hot Sharks team that will most likely make the GF. Less not forget we were missing our two highest paid players, missing our best frontrower, Taka and Pritchard.

Agree with everything except the Sharks making the GF. BA is doing a commendable job with his troops.
If the Sharks stay healthy they should make the GF. I don't think Brisbane will come back from the dead and it will be between the Sharks, Melbourne and Cowboys.
stats are good, we get 50% of the ref calls the stats may be a little better. They played well the sharks once they got a sniff we were gone.
They have a lot to play for but we exposed them as well in defence if he had as much ball I would say with a couple of key ins we would have won this 13+
Maybe the dream is now crushed for the boys they will still compete but will slowly fade at the back end of the season.
One cannot fault the players they try hard. The best part is that we are finding out who will shine next year and the promise of french and hayne possibly coming back, I am looking forward to next year. We would be top 4 next year hand down with a backline
hayne, semi,jennings, taka,french,gutherson,norman,foran
Brisbane have an incredibly good draw leading into September. Don't doubt for a moment they won't hit a streak at some stage between now and then. Storm, Cows, Broncos and Dogs all have the capacity to put Cronulla away.
Please explain.
