Stand alone SOO game.

As bad as the eels are playing this year I still enjoy watching them each week for some reason.

I must say I wish they were playing this weekend.

I also don't understand why the NRL decided to hold the SOO on Sunday night and not Friday or Saturday so fans don't have to work the next day. Ratings I'm guessing?

    It’s th dumbest decision 8pm kickoff on Sunday. Good luck getting out of a full anz and home by 1am Monday morning (?!)

    Apparently the Swans have a bye also.

    You'd think that with no NRL this weekend it would have been the ultimate opportunity for a big Swans game at the SCG.

    The origin should have been last night imo. Saturday nights ratings are lower but Friday night a lot of people who are out on the town would have watched it and no work the following day. Doesn't make sense to me.

      That was a very short story EFL.

      I don't agree. I would love to see an origin game where most don't have to work the following day.

        Can’t agree. The best part of Origin is the water cooler debate the next day about the game. I agree with Mack, should be Wednesday nights only.

        Because it is a premium event that is a virtual guaranteed sell out and the time slot is perfect for TV. I don’t know what the fuss is about, my alarm went off at 4:30 as usual and I got up as fresh as a daisy.
