We had already pulled our offer for Staggs and so had the Titans.
His only two options were stick with the Donkeys or sign with the dogs.
Both will be cellar dwellers for a few years.
Would like to have signed Coates to replace Fergo but he wasn't signing with anyone else but the Storm.
I think Coates is smoky that would have fitted in nicely in our team. Watch him soar at the Storm! Bummer...

I'd have taken him for the right price. Good player. But probably need to pay overs to get him and long term if he doesn't perform it could kill the side.
