"ST GEORGE CAN'T PLAY"

I know this is not about Parra, but I have taken some satisfaction that the Dragons had been bundled out of the playoffs before us this year. Two points of note are:Dean Young - reckoned the Eels couldn't have shown any more talking after our 37-0 loss to them. He went onto talk about how we would be carrying mental scars into the return game the following Sunday. Oh Dean, you really didn't do your research there mate, did you. How about those mental scars that the Dragons hold from years of underachievement, especially in finals footy.Peter Doust - Who could ever forget his "vision" for 2009, and how the competition would pan out."The Bulldogs have led a chorus of disbelief over St George Illawarra's brash move to inquire into premiership-winning merchandise in August, accusing their bitter Sydney rivals of "sheer arrogance''.Bulldogs CEO Todd Greenberg could barely hide his delight after learning Dragons opposite Peter Doust had commissioned a marketing expert to canvas logistics for commemorative T-shirts".This was absolute gold, and virtually condemned the Dragons to another year of being also-rans.

  • I'm not big on bagging the Dragons probably cause they are my old mans team,so you could say i have a bit of a soft spot for them, and secondly, both have been so close many times in the finals before, and have missed out!! very much like the eels, so both of us have have drowned our sorrows and know what each other feel like!!!!

They had a good year and I rekon they will have another big year next season!!!

I would have much preferred to blog about Manly or the Doggies........ but each to their own!!!!
    • At first i felt no remorse for the Dragons, now i actually feel sorry for the poor bastards, they have now lost all hope even with Benny at the helm. They didnt even look like winning a semi.

I still have the Parra Grand Final assault T- shirt when we played the Knights- heart breaking.
      • Hah, I still have that shirt too ParraNutta, and I saw an old bloke walking down the street the other day with his one on. Looked in much better condition than mine too.

"Hard to believe a lot of eggsperts don't have him in their origin team. We need a strike centre. Canterbury are leading the comp with a small forward pack and a bog average spine."
