Personally I think it's a blight on our game.....in my mind if you invite the gambling fraternity in....you also invite match fixing and point fixing in .

Gambling is an evil industry that preys on the vulnerable and Australians lose more per capita by far than any other country in the world.
We are the biggest losers in the world. Not a title we want to win.
It destroys people, families and lives. But unfortunately a lot of our sports are heavily subsidised by gambling companies so it's deeply entrenched. Just another way that the wealthy take money from the poor by making them feel like they can "get rich quick".
It needs to be much more heavily regulated...but it won't be. Political donations made to the major parties by gambling lobby groups have surged more than 600% in the past decade - gotta make sure those poor people stay poor so the rich can keep getting richer.
do we trust the people that prepare our food.....the list is endless
I think when people starting banning things because they cannot trust its legitimacy it time to pack up.
LUCKILY WE HAVE POLITICIANS WHICH KEEPS THIS LACK OF TRUST IN ORDINANCE. !!
We have to be very careful in this world about people preying on other people.......Its very fashionable to blame government for all the ills of the world.....but are they not a reflection of the people that put them there?
What's more insidious the gambling industry or world politics.....do you want to be in Gaza, Sudan, Ukraine and another 140 hot spots or be able to go to the TAB and have a punt.
Evil industry, Evil world......lets get the 1000's of priorities right before you take away what enjoyment some people may have left.
There is a betting system that can't fail as long as you have a large starting bank and big balls. The NRL is the only competition I know of that this system can work. It is as simple as doubling your losing bet on any team paying above 5/4 ($2.25). Once you back a winner you go back to your starting bet.
Example- 1st bet $100 @ $2.40 loses. Next bet $200 @ $2.50 loses. Next bet $400 @ $2.80 loses. Next bet $800 @ $2.75 wins. Investment $1500. Collect $2200. Profit $700. You then repeat the process.
Slip, isn't this similar to playing red and black on roulette?

The concept originally came from a group of punters who played black Jack. The casinos banned the players and introduced maximum bets on their tables. Having a maximum bet rule means you can't double your bet until you win.
Betting agencies will catch on to the double up system quickly and ban you. However, if you bet randomly with several agencies the system will work. Obviously the bigger your starting bet is means the bigger bank you need. If you start with a $5 bet then $10, $20 $40 and so on until your bet wins the system can't fail. On average the NRL has 1 outsider win every 4 games. I have found upset results more regularly happen during the first half of the season. If you have access to past games starting prices, the system is easy to check. I guarantee if you follow the double up on teams paying $2.25 and above you can't lose.
Slip im testing out a system on the overs and unders with the weather in mind. If there's rain on the way, you'll get the edge if you get in early. So far im in front, if it works ill go bigger

People should be free to destroy their lives.
Can't nanny state everyone.
Except they could also destroy their children's lives and society has to deal with the fallout of that.
