Souths Sydney the team with no salary cap

After wanting secure the signature of Greg Inglis. Souths are now poised to annouce the signing of Sam Burgess's younger brother George Burgess.

How is it possible that a club that said the had no room under the salary cap in August and then in November say that the have the money to sign a player of the cailbre of Greg Inglis and one of the ESL rising stars in waiting George Burgess as well as Inglis. Something smells fishy.

There is also no guarantee that Greg Inglis will be a bunnie next season. But there is whole story on that at http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/nrl/nrl-has-second-thoughts-on-inglis/story-e6frexnr-1225962955521 so who is on the chopping block !

  • there is still a limit on those 3rd party deals and unless souths cut some players i don't think inglis will be a bunny.
  • i know that the NRL thought it was "good" to have South Sydney back in the comp, but seriously, if they, under Russell Crowe are bending the salary cap over and giving it a "rough morning surprise with no vaso" ..... WELL I THINK IT SHOULD BE EXPOSED!!!

    sorry about the use of horrid images and the metaphors ...

    but seriously, something just doesn't smell right here.

    A club says they don't have the money .... now they have MORE than enough to throw around to buy up some big names

    am I alone in this??

  • There is no way that souths will be under the cap unless souths release some talent.
  • sutton-->parra
  • Good advice from the Brown Corner!
  • Under 20's - one year.

    Not going to cost them an arm or a leg.
