Southern Stand

There have been many stories about a southern stand being built at Parra Stadium. Supposedly there was state funding and the trust was looking for some Federal funding. even Fitzy was partitioning for funding.

So, does anyone know anything about this stand? We do need a capacity of a few extra thousand at Parra. It seems the hills will never be reopened and it seems such a waste of space there during sell out games.

I reckon they need to bring back the hill, the atmosphere created there was second to none!

From what I had heard from a member of the trust a while ago is that it was all approved. Maybe it's just getting finalised through council.

More capacity would be great.

Sellouts are definitely a great thing for us, but when you think of it, a sellout means there's a lot of people who miss out on the game, especially when you find most of our sellouts are already sold out by mid week.

We do need more capacity. The hills gave a capacity of near 30000 whenthey were in place. current 21000 is way too small and when sell outs happen invariably there are people who don't show. This leaves crowds of less than 20000. Nowhere near enough! This is why games get moved to Homebush.
