SOS: Segeyaro and Taupau

desperately need a scheming running hooker and a forward that can off-load. Imaging Paulo and Taupau leading the pack with Segeyaro from dummy half! If it means trading Norman, then so be it. Hayne can slot into the no.6, French/Gutho rotate between fullback/Centre. Reluctant to keep French on the wing, prefer the bigger Ferguson that can start our sets.

  • Nope. Hayne will be FB

  • Issac luke is what we need in a rotation/mentoring role with Mahoney
  • Issac luke way better then segy.
  • Luke & Segy would do me, don't give a rats what experts here think... Our dummy half play terrible & we still go ok. So having one of these two players will improve us. Farah was never a option (Poppa) he said he was asked to switch by a few teams, he didn't mention them, but he said he would only leave South early, to return to the Tigers, he had a good game today.
  • I agree with Marty Taupau. I think they should go all out for both he and David
    Klemmer.
Zip if it came down to a swap with Norman I would prefer to play Gutho at 6 and Hayne at 1.
    • Agree. Plenty of options for no.6 if Norman gets the punt. That’s why our biggest weakness is hooker and another forward like Taupau
  • I like Seggy and think he would be great but if we can't get him what about Mitch Rein? He's stuck behind Peats and surely a starting spot would be appealing at a decent price
  • No way - seggy is too small to be on the footy field he is listed at 5’7 we don’t need another small body at 9 - he will be the weakest in defence and plenty of traffic thrown at him
  • I be letting kasya n king go buy segeyaro or  issac luke and go out buy Marty taupau or David Klemmer

For us to inprove next year we going to need 2 of these 4 players to inprove

  • I really hope that we don’t sign Segeyaro. We need solid and consistent spine players. This guy is like Norman, very hot and cold. Maybe it’s the diet they share ;)
