The Panthers are suddenly short of a recognised dummy half and have named utility forward Tyrone Peachey at hooker for tomorrow night’s big game against the Bulldogs.
Parramatta, in contrast, have plenty of hookers and King is set to sit on the bench for feeder team Wentworthville this weekend.
King has too much talent for that and the former Dragon and Cowboy is mates with Panthers star Jamie Soward from their days together at the Big Red V.
Panthers officials have already sounded out Parra about the move and now it just comes down to one thing - dollars.
