Unless you are blind there is blatant nepotism going on at the club and it's unacceptable.
He may be a good kid but it's still unacceptable from the coach.
From shifting Dylan Brown to accomodate him early in the season, to the mindless seirctions on the bench and now getting selected during the finds yet agsin is a farce. Fans from other clubs might not see it but if you watch and know your team inside out this simply does not add up.
Should a father's son be a priority? By all means yes.
However, it shouldn't be at the clubs expense. I'm sorry to telll him but his son is not good enough for first grade. He might be one day but clearly not now and even more so not for finals footy. There is no shame in that.
There are a heap of talented blokes who don't make the grade. That is life. BA just can't see it as he is not being objective. I've come to the conclusion he's trying to showcase his son so he gets picked up by another club as I can't see any other rationale. So many deserve a spot over his son.
Hopefully this all ends soon for the sake of the club and many of its fans.

Thanks champion
Surely the young Tigers half Madden who is looking for a club would have been a great buy to back up Mitch Mosses. He's a lot better than Jacob Arthur
2021 state of origin experienced forward doesn't get a look in and a kid who played disgracefully for a few matches gets chosen, hate to be negative but this is a total joke. Don't care if Moses is carrying injuries this is a pathetic situation
When is Nepo going to get a place on the banner?
Been asking for this for months but Fui won't entertain the concept .
Poor form from Fui .
Broken record Time .........Jake Arthur is not NRL standard and unlikely to ever be able to perform at elite level. Canberra have a much superiour bench and this will likely play out in the match. Why isnt other members of the coaching group stepping in . Nathan Brown is an ORIGIN forward. Bryce Cartwright is a PROVEN first grade player. I know this is one of a billion JA blogs but we are a laughing stock of the league. We are the Parramatta Eels Football Club not the Arthur family sheltered work shop
If BA really bleeds blue and gold. He should quit if we loose to Canberra and apolgise to all the Eels fans in relation to his coaching and team selections. He refuses to bring talent through the grade and refuses to recruit in areas of need (Utility, Hooker, Centre Second Row).
Never a truer word spoken, ive never seen anything like this in professional sport from any coach.
If we are all being honest with ourselves here, we've all been around a team sport of some kind growing up. I'm sure we all have stories about that coach that kept picking his kid over other more talented players. It was infuriating and disgusting back then imagine what highly paid first grade players would be thinking behind closed doors.
There's zero chance that the players aren't talking about this kids lack of talent and BAs nepotism. In fact I think it's impossible for anyone to assume that the players are 100% behind this and I hope they can look past this disgrace and just get us into a GF. Nothing can be done right now we can only hope we can win the damn thing with 15 determined and focussed players, starting this week.
Adam Sandler could make a movie about this, called father of the year, or the nepokid.
This is the sort of shit they write comedy movies about
I'm a BA fan.
However, throughout his 9 years, there are things he has done which have annoyed me. For example, not letting Fui play first grade for his last game at Parra stadium (hes repeating that now with N Brown), playing players when clearly injured (Tepai Moeiroa and Kaysa Pritchard), not dropping players when out of form to hold them accountable (Jennings and Mannah).
But, the thing that has probably annoyed me the most is he has always had favourites that seem to get picked no matter what. Josef Paulo was probably the best example of that, but there are others like Luke Kelly and Peni Terepo.
Is Jake Arthur's continued selection just another manifestation of BA's stubborness, as opposed to being nepotism? It may be. I don't have a strong view on the 'nepotism' call. However, I am in firm agreement the kid shouldn't be on the bench. I like the idea of having a back on the bench, but if you do that, the back needs to add a bit more utility value than JA and/or have some x factor.
