  What does our junior pool have to do with anything? You still have to pay them and the salary cap means plenty of them have to leave. Even the under 20s team has a salary cap.

    That's right, plenty have to leave. I think what he was saying was, it should be far easier to keep your own juniors than if you need to find them from other clubs. If we had the right people, from the top down, we would be keeping the right ones. At present, and for many years, we have not kept the right players.

  Funny how Melbourne consistently make the finals and are always competitive, yet have no juniors. Penrith have just as many as us and as poor as us. Juniors have very little impact on NRL.

    Penrith are going poorly because of the significant injuries that they have had. I wouldn't use them as an example, they were one of the top teams last year.

  Funny you say that in regards to the cap. I think he also said that Parramatta 2015 are the only club that have breached every tier of the cap in 1 year.
  
  Just on another note, today I heard that back in 09 when we let Brett Finch go mid season to the Storm, he had in his contract ( that the Eels where paying most of ) if he won a comp he would get a bonus. He went on to win the comp that year against Parra and we paid the bonus. The contact didn't state that he had to win a comp playing for Parra, it only mentioned the years.

  Not really in Sydney. Teams that don't have the same junior base as Parra, Penrith and Souths can easily come in with higher offers.
