Fui and Captain Cayless were the winners earning the spots at front row for the team. Now onto Hookers, a position that had limited options.Anyway not long now til our starting 13 is settled.https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3Q9GTXJ1. Hayne2. Radradra3.…
One game only, same old story. 40 years of this rubbish. Every pre-season, big talk, everyone says this is our year. Sometimes we start okay, sometimes we get smashed like last night, 52-4 by Storm. Then the losses start, we lose all momentum, and…
"Ryles too for that buttoned up shirt with the patches on logo. The fuck was that?"
"Even if we do let Lomax go, we will still get punished for the subpoena to the NRL."

Folau needed to go looking for the ball more as he is a strong ball runner, but I suppose he can be partially excused due to his limited first grade experience. Morgan however, who was just as missing in action and even missed 3 or 4 tackles, cannot be afforded the same excuse.
Sure it may have been a spirited performance, but that doesn't mask the horrible completion rates, indiscipline and lack of possession, which are fundamental indicators of our progress. In all honestly, I felt we got lucky and didn't deserve to win the game, and almost managed to lose it a few times. Even though the result went our way tonight, I'm not sure we played any better than we have in the past 4 games, in spite of being down in troops.
I agree BM, a pretty fair summation of the game, a lot of effort & grit mixed with a lot of errors & flaws.
The middle forwards did a terrific job, Mannah, Jnr, Peats & Kaysa. Semi was great, Norman had a really good game & even allowing for his errors, Sandow was busy.
I am concerned that Folau may be inclined to be either a bit lazy or complacent, only time will tell but on current form he doesn't deserve to be in FG however with our injury toll, BA hasn't got a lot to play with. I think Faraimo is a better option until Folau learns to pull his finger out, so to speak.
We just have lapses occasionally
This will be improved by getting reward for efforts and getting momentum
Also have to look at the large amount of time spent defending
I only saw probably 40 mins of match at most and in that Watmough made two errors yet again (1st bad play the ball & 2nd penalty when Storm attacking near our line.) He is a huge liability every week in this regard.
Well - we have seen EVERYTHING the Eels have to offer in this game.
The diabolical - the bad - the mediocre - the good and the fantastic.
For me the ONLY player who was consistently good was Gower (This is open to contradiction as i had a lousy stream and didn't see every play)
Somehow we got away with a win, so that tempers my comments somewhat.
I do not ever remember seeing a performance like this in my entire life.
12 - 0 after 10 minutes and I figured "That's it - another flogging"
Then - don't ask me how, the team just kept plugging away.
Good footy combined with abysmal footy combined with something that heartened me - NO dropping of the heads.
The team "tried" for the full 80 minutes
Tried to get a win for the Storm - tried to get a win for themselves - tried to play good footy - tried to give away as many penalties as they could - tried to drop the ball inside their own 20 as often as possible - tried to defend their line - tried to attack and tried to play some scintillating flamboyant footy.
They also tried to see how many players could get injured in a single game - at one stage I thought we would be down to 12 men.
Words really do fail me in this one - the best - the worst, and everything in between - EXCEPT they did their best to stay in the game - which in the end got them over the line for a win.
This was as UGLY as a game could get - but it was WEIRD ugly.
Gee it was good to win though.
A lousy stream? at your age you should get that checked Col.....
The only thing I will say is that this team is capable of some truly beautiful attack. When we get it right no team in the NRL can deny us points.
