One very considerate Eels fan posted this image on the Parramatta Facebook page -
I think we need to focus on some VERY important facts that were highlighted in this image.
** 2015 & 2016 NO BREACHES OF THE CAP. Changes to practices at Parramatta have already been enacted and put in place by CEO STEVE SHARP which means 2015/16 we are fine
NRL CEO David Smith has confidence in Steve Sharp.
The changes to recruitment, retention, releasing , etc with regards to players has been changed. No longer are there going to be "overs" in regards to Parra players. This is Steve Sharp's influence with Daniel Anderson to STOP the garbage for over pays, paying players that we have let go, etc.
Yes, this has happened, but while I am not being a total unicorn in this, let's cut through the crap and look at the details we need to focus on.
The trouble was from our 2010-2013 period - great instability, a regular turnstile of coaches and management. This is where the damage was done. Old management.
New management under Sharp, changes started occurring and a new structure and form has been evolving.
We need to remember and focus upon this. Keep united and not allow this club, now the "front office" has achieved stability, no matter what side of the political fence you want to sit on, let's not self destruct with finger pointing and the "blame game".
Eyes forward and focused ahead.
cheers!

I can accept the fine but not the possible loss of competition points for 2016.
The current board has been very transparent with the NRL and have done everything possible to correct yet another mess created by the previous board. What pisses me off the most is those journalists who constantly try to bring the club down and that asshole Ray Hadley that never mention the facts and reason why the club now finds itself in this predicament.
Please at least try to be Journalist with some integrity and start writing FACTS NOT FICTION. assholes
Why punish the current players and coach for the sins of past administrators & pseudo coaches like Stuart ?
Especially when the current administration has put their hands up..
The truth doesn't matter to these people. Aside from the fact that Parra sell papers, many journos WANT to create drama and discontent. They take personal enjoyment from negative stories, and this applies to the media in general. You can just tell in the way they report it. Is it unprofessional? Absolutely. But sensationalising the news has become a form of entertainment. If you think the Telegraph is bad, go over to England. The British tabloids are shocking.
gotta agree with you there Bert.
That radio personality uses and abuses his position to push his mates agenda and discredit the people who deposed him. He uses ANY opportunity to put a negative spin in the slimmest of hopes that that mate of his and former "emperor' of Parramatta may somehow regain his crown.
The loss of the points for 2016 .... I don't like one little bit .... realistically it negates the two bye rounds, but they can be enforced IF we aren't seen as being proactive in fixing the issue, which to be frank, I believe we HAVE been proactive (the proof of that is the fact that David Smith has said we are WELL UNDER the cap for this year - hence we could buy Michael Gordon if we were able to - and we are well under the cap for next year).
Very much hope this is the last of the rubbish from the previous administration.
It's bloody tragic that the Eels are constantly dragged through the mud by previous admin, which was corrupt and inept.
It takes courage to do what Sharp has done. We've copped it sweet and get no bloody favours from the NRL but will be in a better position for it (hopefully!)
The great news to come out if this is to reiterate that pseudo coaches like Stuart, some dead wood & pseudo administrators of the past are no longer part of our culture.
To brighter days !
INDEED !!!!
and to those past administrators who put us here .....
