  they still havent qualified alex, they still have to play either panama, Honduras or usa depending on who finishes 4th in their group.

  We don’t create. All that possession, same as against Thailand and we can barely score a goal. Every shot was along the ground, no one capable of delivering quality ball into the square either. It wouldn’t matter if we have Rinaldo up front there was no quality crosses except the one we scored off.
  The boys try hard, but there’s a real lack of variety. It’s simply get the ball upfield carefully and try some cute little passes. We should have torn their defences to shreds but we’re so predictable we’re easy to defend.
  It won’t matter if we qualify for the WC. We won’t win a game there.

  We won by a bees dick, that free kick at the end was as close as it gets. Happy to win but I can't see us even getting thru the next stage, our d looks very brittle against let's be honest average attacking teams in our region firstly and now Syria, we have no speed up front, mooy creates plenty of opportunities n the middle but has no one to capitalise and finish the movement. Rukavitsa looked to have some pace but then we didn't really go to him with quick early ball to utilise his speed. We are trying to play like Barcelona (from the top down this is the new chosen style for Australian football) a possession based style which is great but we don't have the players for that. Maybe in 5-10 years when the young kids who are training this way we might be able to but not with these players, we just look awkward clunky and slow. Sure we have over 70% possession great but the problem not stat that matters is the scoreboard..

  Look i am glad they got through; there are not any stars in the team and tbh any team from that part of Mid east is going to be decent. Good on them for coming through as we'd be more peeved about losing.

    Would not be surprised if Mexico threw that game just to screw the yanks over.
