So, who suprised you ?

Which player with a lower calibre suprised you in the Auckland 9's? ( your Honeti Tuhas and Cameron Kings etc)

  • From a personal stand point, I liked Tuha and Fogarty.
    • Not serious about Fog? Please?

The kid can't do anything, especially in defence. He will be a liability if he carry him into first grade. He has poor attitude, bundled with poor defence and poor attack.
    • LOL Fogarty, he'll struggle to lead wenty around.

    • R u serious , fog was disappointing to say the least!!! He needed to step up in 9s footy and didn't!!!
    • Whether Fogarty stepped up in 9s or not is really irrelevant. Who remembers Steve Witt, Michael Witt's older brother. He killed it one 9s comp many years ago and then did not really do much at all in the 13 game.
    • I have my reasons for picking Fogarty, don't expect many to agree, but I'll stick with it, maybe youse will see why by years end.
  • Fog was good in day 1 from what ive seen over the last 2 days plus the games i saw last year he plays well when the team is on top defense will be a issue but he had a go so there is something to work on.
Tuha was very impressive snd i think he will push for a spot. Matangi was exceptional. I still have question marks about king but i would be ok if he got a run.
    • Everyone seems to be giving it to me about Fogarty, I thought he was okay Day 1 as well,

And Matagi was very, very impressive, I think he's a massive replacement for Junior Paulo
  • I blogged about it earlier but even after I posted the blog Tuha continued to surprise me. He showed really slick footwork in a nice run in the last game. I'm not sure anyone else at parra has footwork like that actually. He's gone right up in the pecking order of fringe outside backs in my opinion
    • I knew that Tuha was okay, but I questioned him been picked in the 9's, I can happily say I was wrong about been disappointed with his selection, he done very well
