So, how would we know you’re a Parra fan?

I've been thinking about all those things in my life that point back to Parra.  Following the recent death, then miraculous recovery of a 1Eyed member it had me thinking about what my family will find upon my demise when trawling through my stuff.

For me there are a number of things that identify my “Eel identity”:

  • Every password has a “Parra” or “Eels” theme

  • Parra PJ’s (only worn in season)

  • I only ever wear Blue & Gold ties (gives my business partner of 17 years, a Maggies fan, the irits)

  • Membership key ring

  • Car number plate ends in 5733

  • Various memorabilia in my home & office

Anyone painted their house Blue & Gold?

Anyone got a Parra tattoo? Photo’s please!

Would you like your death announced on these pages?

What identifies you as a lifelong Eels supporter?

  • If you know the answer to the following questions you bleed blue and gold: Who is the fastest man in rugby league - Martin Offiah or Lee Oudenryan? Or who is the best halfback out of Tulsen Tollet, Chris Lawler or Stuart Galbraith? (Answer is none of the above). Who "de-railed" in a semi-final v the dogs when we led 18-2 with 10 mins left by kicking the ball away on the hooter at 18-18 allowing them a shot at field goal? Who sacked 12 players via power point in a team meeting?
  • Yeah I'm a big eels but not too exterme. I mean, don't get me wrong.  I love my eeels, supported thru the highs and lows, thru the good and the bad and I don't have any other favourite team but Parra. I refuse to watch any matches but Parra's. I have only a cap and a jumper, nothing else but when I was kid I did. My mother just can afford for me. I live in the country and I don't get to see Parra play. For two years I did as I lived in Aukland Street (I think for i was staying with sister and her husband before I left) but I'm still an eels boy thru and thru. nevr stopped supporting them and bugger the others, we're the greatest and the best!!!!! WHO LET THE EELS OUTS? WHO WHO WHO!!!!!

  • Still following them after the disastrous past few decades means your a lifer does it not?
  • Just hacking into your online accounts now Phil, looks like youve been saving too !!, just a few more minutes and everything should be in my account in Canada then split between a few other sleeper accounts.

I'm not going to be a prick about it, i'll leave you $100 for the rest of the day.

    • Thanks Snake, your generosity is only exceeded by your good looks.

  • I am addicted to regularly checking this site.

  • Like you phil i have merchandise everywhere, home, closet, work and car. No tattoo as of yet but am looking to incorporate the eels logo and Liverpool logo somewhere on my body..... but if i had to choose one sport and one team til watch until the end of time and mo other sports exist then it would be nrl and parra.
    • Maybe we should commission a graphic artist to design a 5733-YNWA tattoo.  What do you think?
