And Hull KR coach Justin Morgan followed suit in highlighting the performance of skipper and ex-Parramatta Eels front-rower Mick Vella after their 38-28 win over Leeds.

The 33-year-old scored the first of Rovers' seven tries, his first for almost two years while it was also his first match back from four out with a knee injury, and Morgan said: "It is great to see him back.

"His performance was good and his leadership was excellent. He gives us a bit of a steady ship. When you look over your shoulder and see Mick Vella there it gives you a lift."

Guy was probably one of my favourite players during the years he was with the club, along with Dean Widders.
Had the chance to meet him as a young kid too, and he was incredibly warm, humble, and I got a picture with him at the time.
Shame he left.

what a great story he has...Played for the eels, worked hard week in, week out. Diagnosed with Cancer, fights it and survivesl, lives on to dominate in England as well.
